Michigan Aviators Learn About Airplane Ownership

(PRWEB) May 24, 2006 -- According to the Federal Aviation Administration, there were almost 17,000 registered pilots in Michigan in December of 2005 and more than 7000 registered aircraft. With commercial airline travel becoming more inconvenient due to increased security measures and crowded planes, more people are discovering the ease of general aviation. Michigan has over 236 airports from which pilots fly to locations all over the country. There are no long lines or strangers seated next to you and often you can fly to an airport just minutes away from your destination.

Thursday's seminar will highlight just a few of the benefits of learning to fly for personal transportation.

"We'll cover everything from choosing the right airplane to
aircraft financing and insurance," commented Redmond. "We'll even discuss ways to put an airplane to work. That's recently become a popular topic with Michigan’s escalating unemployment rate."
